Despite poor ratings, The Bachelorette will be back next year.
Channel Ten confirmed the reality dating show will return for a third season in 2017.
A spokesperson for the network said in a statement: ‘The recipe of love, drama, excitement, romance and amazing dates has struck a chord with many people and made The Bachelorette Australia one of the most talked about shows on television and a hit across multiple screens.’
As far as who will be the next Bachelorette, fans are gunning for Perth based former Bachelor contestant, Nikki, who had her heart broken by Richie Strahan last season.
While Nikki is certainly the fan favourite, when asked in September if she was up for the gig, she replied with a definite, ‘No way.’
She added: Not at this moment. It’s too raw.
‘I feel like I’m not in the right head or heart space to be able to truly answer that question.
‘And on top of that, I know that’s a year from now and I feel like if I focused so far ahead that I might not be open to finding my person before then.’
