Heartbreak has struck the Married At First Sight camp once again as Vanessa has broken up with her TV ‘husband’, Andy.
The 31-year-old flew to Queensland to break up with her man after realising that their personalities are not compatible.
Throughout the course of the series, Vanessa had often complained about introvert Andy shyness.
As she confronted him, a defensive Andy responded: “The way I see [your complaints] is me not being adequate enough for your needs. That’s how I look at it.”
“You keep bringing it up and I don’t have the answers and it keeps pushing me away and we go around in circles and we have a s***ty day, or I have a s***ty day anyway,” he said.
As the pair both started to tear up, mature-aged student Vanessa ended the relationship.
‘I want someone that appreciates you for who you are and doesn’t make you feel like you being quiet is a bad trait because it’s not,’ she told him in tears. ‘It’s just not what I’m looking for in a relationship…It’s so hard to say that, but it’s true.
‘I don’t want you to change for me. I know what I’m looking for. That’s why I’m still single at 31. It’s because I want that, and I’ll find it.’
But her decision prompted outrage with MAFS fans who chose to side with Andy, with some slamming the bride for her brutal treatment of the 30-year-old introvert.
