Another one of Gable Tostee’s Tinder dates has come forward, describing him as typical local guy ‘trying to look staunch in a white shirt’.
Tostee has been on trial in the Brisbane Supreme Court after his date, Warriena Wright, fell from the 14th-floor of the apartment building in 2014.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, but remaining anonymous, Karen* said she met Tostee in 2013 and invited him to a wine and cheese night at her house.
‘We did a wine and cheese and Gable showed up with a bottle of Jagermeister and a couple of energy drinks,’ Karen told Daily Mail Australia of his slightly weird disconnect from social expectations.
‘You missed the brief Gable. I felt like I was at a frat party,’ she joked
Despite his ‘politically incorrect’ pickup lines, Karen ‘took it as banter.’
‘We had the same sense of humour which is why I knew I’d be fine hanging out with him with a few jager bombs at a wine party.
‘He is the epitome of the Gold Coast boy – those snakeskin shoes.’
Speaking before Tostee’s not-guilty verdict, Karen said she believed he was innocent.
