The mother-in-law of Karen Ristevski has lashed out at claims her son had anything to do with the murder of the Melbourne woman.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, Borce Ristevski’s mother – who refused to be named – said her son was a’good family man’ and she had no idea what happened to Karen.

‘Borce is not the human being they are saying, for his wife he was very nice.

‘He is not the sort of person who could do something like that. He’s very good for the family.

She also described her daughter-in-law as a ‘beautiful woman’ and a ‘good mothe’” to the couple’s daughter, Sarah, 21.

The Herald Sun reports that while Mrs Ristevski’s husband Borce is a lead suspect in her murder, new developments have emerged that his older brother, Vasko, also has connections to a property previously involved in the investigation.

It is alleged that Vasko part-owns a horse whose former trainer’s stud is at Toolern Vale, which borders properties on Blackhill road where detectives drained two dams during the search for the missing woman in December.

Witnesses have also claimed to have seen a man matching his description at an abandoned restaurant nearby around the same time that Mrs Ristevski vanished.

Karen went missing from her Melbourne home on June 29 last year after arguing with Borce over the dire financial situation of their clothing business.
