He’s known Australia-wide as the ‘Angry, Angry Man’ of MKR – and it seems that tag is having a big effect on Tyson in the real world.
The 26-year-old from Brisbane says that he’s been forced to give up his career as an Uber driver in the wake of his newfound notoriety, with sister Amy revealing that ‘no-one wants to get in the car with Angry Man.’
Tyson admits that the social media fallout from his tense MKR appearance has been hard to handle, telling New Idea that he stopped looking at the harsh online comments after just one appearance on the show.
‘It wasn’t pretty,’ he laughed. ‘I stopped looking after the first night!’
But while Tyson is disappointed that he’s had to prematurely end his Uber career, he remains philosophical.
‘What I really want to do is work in a kitchen,’ he admits. ‘I want to be a chef and working in a kitchen is the first step. So I’m just putting all my efforts into that right now.’
