While all eyes were on Bek and Kyle as their steamy My Kitchen Rules romance sizzled on – and off – our TV screens, it seems another secret romance has been bubbling behind the scenes.
New Idea understands that rival contestants Amy and Tim have fallen for one another, secretly dating for several months.
The competitive pair, who have taken no prisoners in the kitchen – battling it out for first place in Group One’s instant restaurant round with record- breaking scores – quickly went from enemies to lovers once the cameras stopped rolling.
And while the two unlikely secret lovebirds have been curiously coy about their rumoured romance, several contestants have confirmed to New Idea that Tim did find love on the show.
‘I can’t believe it hasn’t come out!’ laughed Group Two’s resident villain Josh. ‘Tim has definitely fallen for another contestant…’
Fellow Group One contestant Karen alluded to New Idea that Tim had ‘found love’ on the show.
A coy Tim refuses to confirm or deny the romance speculation, but does admit he and 30-year-old Amy have become ‘really close’.
‘Amy’s really funny,’ he adds. ‘We became really close on the show – both Amy and Tyson… She was a real standout. We have definitely stayed in contact.’
