My Kitchen Rules star Amy has hit back at her on-screen rival Josh after he labelled her a “s***” on last night’s instant restaurant episode.
Speaking to News Corp, the Queenslander revealed that her fellow contestant’s inappropriate remark had really hit a nerve.
“He didn’t use very good judgement.”
“We all know that josh is a bit of a shit-stirrer and likes to get reactions out of people by saying things he probably shouldn’t.”
But while it’s no secret the cast mates have been clashing in recent weeks, Amy admitted that Josh’s comment had taken things one step too far.
“Josh definitely crossed the line with that comment,” she confessed.
“To have him say that was quite upsetting.”
In fact, the star was prompted to confront Josh about the incident.
“At the time I was focusing on the rest of the cook,” she said.
“I put it at the back of my mind and focused on what I had to do that night but I did speak to him the next day.”
“I didn’t feel that addressing the comment at the table in front of other judges and contestants with 1.5 million people was the right thing to do.”
She also revealed that Josh – whose outspoken nature has earned him the title of MKR’s resident villain – has since apologized to her for his behavior.
Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed “seafood king” also addressed his slur.
“I totally understand I didn’t use my best judgement, it’s in the past now,” he said.
“Amy and I are still friends.”
