Viewers watched on as the brother and sister duo went from strength to strength in the kitchen, but My Kitchen Rules winners Amy and Tyson’s stint on the hit show had very different effects on their love lives.

While Amy is believed to
have found romance with rival contestant Tim, it’s been revealed that Tyson’s relationship with his girlfriend of seven years ended shortly after the cooking show went to air.

In January, Tyson opened
up to New Idea about his long-term romance with neighbour Tasha, revealing that she wasn’t coping with his ‘Angry Man’ reputation.

‘It’s a bit of a learning curve for her as well,’ admitted Tyson at the time. ‘She says it’s weird and usually when the ad is on she turns it off and looks away.’

However, just a month later,
it all seemingly became too much for the couple, with 26-year-old Tyson admitting that he’s ‘currently single’.

‘I’m focusing on food at the moment,’ he says. ‘I’m not a big marriage person – I personally don’t really see the point of it.

I think it’s a big expensive day for not much gain.’

But while Tyson has chosen food over love, the same can’t be said for his older sister Amy.

With romance rumours bubbling away for her and
Tim, the 30-year-old has opened up about her desperate desire
to start a family – despite revealing on the show that
she ‘hates’ children.

‘I definitely want a family some day,’ she tells New Idea. ‘I don’t hate kids, God no.

‘My fear is with pregnancy and childbirth – it’s a genuine phobia, I’ve looked into it. I feel it would be like having a little alien grow inside of you and that freaks me out.

‘But it’s cool, I will adopt
– there are always options, surrogacy even. I want a family and I love kids. I have millions of photos of me with babies.’
