Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have married in secret, it’s being reported today.
America’s Star magazine claims the couple “quietly tied the knot” on Phillip Island so that his ailing war veteran grandfather, Martin van Os, could attend the ceremony.
It’s claimed Mr. Van Os, who is 88, attended the intimate affair along with Liam’s brother Chris, his wife Elsa Pataky and their children, India, 5, and 3-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan.
An insider is quoted as saying, “They planned to get married in the States since Miley has such a big family and most of Liam’s relatives were willing and able to travel.
“But once Miley found out that his grandpa wasn’t well enough to fly, she decided to bring the wedding to him.”
Fueling the rumors, Star published a picture in which Liam was seen “wearing a shiny wedding band on Aug. 6 at the Cyrus family’s Kentucky estate,” the magazine wrote.
It was further claimed, “This was a small reception at Martin’s house, a true Aussie Barbie. Liam hadn’t been back there since his grandmother passed away. It was bittersweet.”
The couple plan on holding a larger ceremony for family and friends later this year, according to Star.
