Michelle Obama gets her Freak On!

The FLOTUS shows off her impressive rap skills as she’s joined by Missy Elliott for Carpool Karaoke

James Corden is known for getting the cream of the crop to jump in his SUV for Carpool Karaoke, but the Late Late Show host has outdone himself with his latest A-lister – First Lady Michelle Obama.

However, while just getting the US President’s wife is a huge coup, Michelle took the experience to a whole new level as she demonstrated her utterly impressive rap skills.

Joined by her ‘Girl Power Squad’ member Missy Elliott, the trio rocked out to Missy’s classic hit Get Ur Freak On.

The 52-year-old also got the chance to bust some moves to Beyonce, expertly doing the Single Ladies dance as she was strapped in to the passenger seat.

‘We were making honey in the Beyhive… to put in our Lemonade!’ Michelle laughed.

She also revealed that Stevie Wonder is her all-time favourite singer while singing along to Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

Missy also joined her new pal for a rendition of This Is For My Girls, as Michelle discussed her initiative Let Girls Learn. The song, which also features Kelly Rowland and others, serves as the anthem for the program.

FLOTUS explained that she’s heading to Liberia, Morocco and Spain to launch the initiative, which is also one of the reasons she recently started a Snapchat account.

‘So much could be corrected if girls were educated and had power over their lives,’ she said, adding: ‘My message for kids here is don’t take your education for granted, because there are girls around the world who would die to get the education we have.’
