With her aspirational power-mum brand under pressure recently, fitness queen Michelle Bridges appears to want the world to know that she’s juggling a lot and is deserving of more respect.
Following scathing newspaper headlines and negative publicity over a very poor turn out to her talk at the One Fine Baby event in Sydney on the weekend, and recent talk she may not be invited back as a trainer on The Biggest Loser, Michelle seemingly wants to remind fans she’s still relatable, flawed like the rest of us, and very hard working, as she juggles her high flying career and motherhood.
At the height of this week’s awkward newspaper headlines, Michelle posted a meme that reads: ‘Negotiating a new project whilst wondering, ‘Am I wearing deodorant? Did I brush my teeth? Am I wearing clean undies? Am I wearing undies? Business Mum… Respect ladies!’
The trainer recently admitted she hasn’t had a full night’s sleep since giving birth to son Axel seven months ago, and is now resorting to employing a night nanny to give her some desperately needed shut-eye.
‘I’ve been given heaps of advice from lots of different people saying I should [get a night nanny],’ the star told Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur on The Morning Show. ‘I still haven’t managed to get her to my place yet! But I’ll still get her in this week.’
Highly successful and motivated Michelle’s fitness empire has been a huge success, earning her millions and a legion of devoted followers around the world. Onwards and upwards!
