Channel Ten has commissioned a new series of the popular weight loss program The Biggest Loser, sans two of its regular trainers.
Michelle Bridges and Steve ‘Commando’ Willis won’t be returning for the 11th season of the reality show. Instead, Sydney-based trainer Libby Babet will be joining Shannan Ponton.
Titled The Biggest Loser: Transformed, Bridges and Willis’ departure isn’t the only change being rolled out.
‘The biggest difference for me this time around is that the show is going to be much more relatable to a wider audience,’ Ponton told News.com.au.
Not just for the obese, Ponton said they want people who are on the ‘slide’.
‘You don’t have to be 180 kilos for bad health or bad habits to adversely affect your life,’ he said.
‘Rather than just the people who are 200 plus kilos, we want people who are on the slide — and if something doesn’t come up now then they’re going to end up super unhealthy and overweight in the future.’
