She revealed she’s single this week, but Sam Frost’s scorned runner-up Michael Turnbull has already weighed in on her split with Sasha Mielczarek.
The 35-year-old revealed in an interview with The Daily Mail that he was ‘shocked’ to hear the couple had split after 18-months.
‘It’s sad to hear as I thought they were very well suited for each other,’ Turnbull said.
‘I am very surprised and shocked as I read the news today. I thought they were going to last the distance so it is a shame.’
Despite being publicly rejected on the first season of The Bachelorette, Turnbull says he has no hard feelings.
‘I wish them both the best moving forward as this is a terrible time for them both but both deserve to be happy.’
‘I’d be happy to take Sasha for a beer.’
Turnbull’s well-wishes come as a surprise to some after he slammed the star in an interview last month with Mamamia.
The 35-year-old lashed out at Sam for hurting his feelings when the radio star advocated for Richie Strahan to become The Bachelor over Michael.
‘Sam Frost was, for whatever reason, a big Richie fan,’ he said.
‘She came out saying that Richie was her real second choice and she didn’t want to hurt his feelings by bringing him to the finale. I was like, “Wait, hang on a second, I’ve got feelings too! You took me to the end and then dumped me!”‘
