Murder claims lead to demand for new autopsy

Michael Jackson’s body will be exhumed from Glendale’s Forest Lawn Cemetery in California and re-examined amid new claims that the Gloved One was “murdered,” US magazine Globe reports.

The singer’s daughter Paris, 18, got the foul play rumors started when she was quoted as saying, “It’s obvious. All arrows point to that. All real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a set-up.”

Globe spoke to legal consultant John A. Carman, also a former cop, who told them that scars on Michael’s body, pill bottles found in a trash bin and a “mystery man” seen leaving the singer’s house the night of his death on June 25, 2009 indicate a possible murder cover up.

“Could it be that everything we thought we knew about Michael’s death is wrong and that his real killer has never been punished?” asks Carman, adding: “There are new questions now and having his body re-autopsied would get the answers.”

According to Globe, Michael’s body underwent three autopsies, one by the Los Angeles County coroner and two others commissioned by the Jackson family.

Michael died of Propofol overdose, but there were traces of Ativan, Valium and Versed in his system too, Carman tells Globe.

The singer’s private physician Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and served time, but he has always maintained his innocence.

“Michael’s body was embalmed and should be in good condition now. Maybe it’s time those scars be given a second look,” Carman tells Globe.
