Australian actress Melissa George has been taken to hospital after allegedly being assaulted by her partner Jean-David Blanc, according to a report from French website Purepeople.
40-year-old George was complaining of feeling faint, dizziness and pain and was taken to Cochin hospital shortly after showing up to a police station early on Wednesday morning.
M6info reports that ‘According to statements by the actress … she was assaulted by her companion’.
‘The police were called last night to intervene in the centre of Paris.’
‘In shock, Melissa George, has swelling of the face and complained of pain, nausea and dizziness.’
At this stage, no arrests or charges have been made over the incident.
George has two sons with 48-year-old Jean-David, Raphaël, two, and Solal, 10 months.
DailyMail has confirmed that the actress has been hospitalised.
George is best known in Australia for her work on Home & Away where she played troubled teenager Angel, but has also appeared in other TV series such as Heartbeat, Friends, Alias and Grey’s Anatomy.
