If you’re a Hollywood fan then you’ll be familiar with Melanie Griffith, the daughter of the legendary Tippi Hedren.

As a woman in her 50’s, Griffith has been subjected to heavy criticism about the way she looks – notably the amount of cosmetic surgery she has had on her face.

The actress, who turns 60 in August, has opened about her plastic surgery in an interview with Porter magazine.

She’s decided to fix some of her cosmetic surgery, admitting she didn’t realise it was raising eyebrows around the world.

“No, I didn’t [realize] until people started saying. ‘Oh my god, what has she done?!’” Griffith told the magazine, according to People.

“I was so hurt I went to a different doctor and he started dissolving all of this s*** that this other woman doctor had put in. Hopefully, I look more normal now.”

As she prepares to join the 60 club of older actresses, Griffith appears be doing a bit of reflecting about love and her previous marriages Don Johnson and Antonia Banderas.

She’s spoken up about dating, admitting as she ages she’s become “shy” of men.

“I’m shy with men now, very reticent … nobody has asked me on a date [for almost two years],” she told Porter.

Her comments are no doubt something many older women can relate to, particular those who have been divorced or widowed.
