It’s no secret that Mel B and estranged husband Stephen Belafonte are in the midst of a tumultuous divorce battle.
Now the former Spice Girl has taken a swipe at Belafonte, sparked by Nicole Kidman’s heartfelt Emmys speech on domestic violence.
Nicole, whose Big Little Lies character suffers at the hands of her husband in the HBO series, said she wanted to make people more aware of the ‘insidious disease’ of domestic abuse.
Mel B caption the photo of Kidman, ‘We are not alone remember that, ‘the light is shined’ again thanks to Nicole Kidman at the Television Academy and has been, so pls trust and believe, you don’t have to be a victim no more, you do have the power and support to stand up to his, leave all your shame and pain with your abuser, if not the ‘Diablo’ WILL kill you.’
The singer has not been shy about her previous experiences regarding domestic violence at the hands of Belafonte, and is cited as one of the many reasons behind their bitter divorce.
Kidman’s speech saw thousands praise her via social media for speaking out about domestic violence on such a large stage.
