As she went to test drive a white SUV from a Subaru dealership, the singer’s smile remained firmly fixed.
It comes after shock claims that Stephen was allegedly abusive throughout their relationship.
Mel ended her ten-year marriage to Stephen after the death of her father. A reunion with her once-estranged family forced her into a ‘moment of clarity’.
Reports claimed the couple had endured a string of bitter rows, particularly over Mel’s vast fortune.
An LA TV source, who worked with Mel and Stephen, said the couple spend ‘spent half their marriage in therapy.’
