Meghan Markle’s ex-husband is working on a new TV comedy with a royally familiar plotline.
Producer Trevor Engelson – who was married to Prince Harry’s girlfriend for two years – has put forward the idea for a show about a man whose wife leaves him for a British prince, according to the New York Post.
“Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level,” reads the show’s premise, according to Deadline.
Although Trevor didn’t have any children with Meghan during their relationship, the upcoming Fox series is said to have been inspired by his real-life relationship with the Suits actress.
Meghan and Trevor split up in 2013, and the actress started dating the British royal in 2016.
