Last week Prince Harry publically revealed he had sought counseling following the emotional ‘chaos’ following the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
And now, friends close to the royal have indicated that it was in fact his girlfriend, Meghan Markle who encouraged him to speak so candidly about his grief and subsequent mental health issues.
‘Harry feel for Meghan partly because she’s so open, and has that American attitude of saying, “Let’s talk about our feelings,”‘ a royal source revealed to Closer magazine.
‘He comes from such a stiff-upper-lip culture, but Meghan helped him open up.’
The source added: ‘Meghan encouraged Harry to see that, by speaking publicly about his difficult experience, he would really help others, and how being honest might even be a relief.
‘No other woman has helped Harry so much emotionally.’
The news comes following Harry’s headline hitting interview with the British Telegraph last week where he admitted to ignoring his grief over Diana’s sudden death throughtout his teenage years, only addressing it when he was ‘on the verge of punching someone in later life’.
Of course, this news will only add further fuel to the speculation that Meghan is ‘the one’ and a proposal is imminent.
The actress has reportedly booked time off filming her hit TV show Suits next month to fly to England for the wedding of Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton.
