Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik has hit back at explosive claims that her co-stars took large pay cuts so that she and her fellow cast-mate Melissa Rauch could receive raises.
According to Variety, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayar and Simon Helberg each agreed to decrease their salaries by $100,000 per episode in a show of support for the pair, who were still negotiating new contracts for the 11th and 12th season of the sitcom.

“You shouldn’t believe everything you read,” Bialik told PEOPLE.
“I’m happy to report that we have a very cohesive cast and we all know that our strength is together,” she added.
“We all really love each other, we love going to work and we’re very excited to do two more seasons.”

It’s believed that Bialik and Rauch were paid $200,000 each per episode for the CBS series’ 10th season, but the show’s main stars were hoping that increasing the amount to $450,000 each would convince them to sign on for the final two installments.
Of the reports, Bialik said: “I think in particular with things with TV and movies, there’s a lot of moving parts that are part of the business, and the corporate and the finance, and things that honestly I really kind of tell my lawyer, ‘Just wake me when it’s over.’”
“What I am is, I’m a person who plays dress ups for a living and I’m grateful to do that all,” she said.
Bialik joined the cast in season three playing Amy Farrah Fowler, but it wasn’t until the following season that she became a regular on the show.
