She was slammed for taking things too far

Married At First Sight’s Bella has revealed she was following producers’ orders when she probed the other contestants about their sex lives, despite their increasing discomfort and anger.

The dinner party ‘from hell’, which aired on Wednesday night, took an awkward turn when Bella refused to drop the subject.

Appearing on SeaFM radio show, Galey & Charli, Bella revealed producers prodded her to keep up with questioning to make the dinner party ‘interesting’.

‘They didn’t want to talk about their sexual experience but you kept on pushing. My question to you is did producers ask you to keep doing that?’ the hosts asked the ‘newlywed’.

While Bella says she genuinely wanted to know what went on behind closed doors with the other couples, she claims she ignored the obvious cues to drop the conversation because of the demands of producers.

‘The producers kept pulling me away and saying, “Bella keep doing what you’re doing, there’s nothing going on in the dinner party and you are making this interesting”.’

Host Charli backed up Bella’s story saying: ‘The day after this was filmed Bella actually said “yeah I did this at the dinner party, I asked people and it got a bit fiery and the producers pulled me away and said this is great because this is such a boring evening”,’ Charli said.

Looking back, Bella said the dinner party ‘wasn’t a true portrayal’ of who she is.

Apologsing, she said: ‘I fully take ownership for what I said and I apologise for the people that I offended. But you did not do this experiment, you do not know the pressure that we were under and you do not have any right to get on my social media and tell me your opinion of me.’
