On Tuesday night’s episode of Married At First Sight, Cyrell and Martha went head to head in a heated argument as Cyrell confronted Martha about the rumours she had spread about her husband Nic touching Jess’s leg.
Martha and Michael tell reality TV podcast Real Talk with Holly and Ali exactly what went down.
“Everyone knows the difference between a consoling rub and a touchy rub,” spills Michael.
“A leg rub under the table is like 101 creep…sexual. If you’re consoling a friend, you’re like what’s wrong? I was just asking,” added Martha.
“When explaining exactly how the situation played out from her side Martha explained: ‘I said to her ‘sit down babe. What’s wrong babe? Talk to me.’ I approached it really – I thought we were friends still at this stage. Then, within three seconds, it was literally like three seconds. It was like a countdown: five, four, three, two, one, she was just like got in my face and started doing the gun signs in my face,” Martha added.
“She was screaming. She was angry. She just did not like me. She wasn’t happy. And she just red. There was no trying to talk to her. I said to her ‘don’t scream. Don’t scream at me. You’ve come to my apartment. You’re swearing at me. We can’t talk like this.’ She kept saying how I made it sexual, I’m a gossip and I’m a bitch and that I’m starting rumours. I don’t even know where she got it from. It’s not me at all. I just simply asked. That’s it.”
When Cyrell grabbed Martha, she remained calm.
“She did grab me. But my producer was there so quickly – it was over before it started. Like the physical contact, but she did carry on a little bit in the room and did a bit of carrying on. But there were so many people around. It sounds weird – but it didn’t feel that threatening because it was in a room full of people and I know that she did touch me but we’re in an environment that is so heightened,” she explained.
“She didn’t react to it. She didn’t go back at her. She just stayed calm,” added Michael.
