Married at First Sight’s Lauren Huntriss has been enjoying her new-found fame since leaving Married at First Sight, after her disastrous relationship with ex-virgin Matthew Bennett, 29.
And while on a wild night out in Sydney, Lauren got very cosy with her new love, 36-year-old marketing consultant Ria Gan. The two couldn’t keep their hands off of each other and spent the night kissing.
While on the reality show, Lauren, 31, revealed she’d previously dated women, and the last time she was with a woman was when she was around 18 or 19, after having a bad experience with a guy.
“It’s been more than 10 years since Lauren was with another woman and she feels like this might be The One,” a close friend spills to New Idea. “Her time with Matthew made her hate guys again.”
Lauren and her new flame have been friends for four years, and it was only after filming wrapped on MAFS that they became much closer.
“Lauren has really leant on Ria during the time the show was airing, and their friendship grew into something bigger,” the friend explains.
“Ria is so different to Matt. They’re always complimenting each other and can’t keep their hands off each other. Loz has never really understood why she was matched with Matt. She knows her type and made that clear to the creators of the show. Ria is the complete opposite to Matt.
“You just have to look at them,” the friend continues. “There’s absolutely a connection – not just physical, but an emotional one as well. I’ve never seen her so happy. She was really in a dark place after filming MAFS, but now she’s just happy. It’s great to have our Lauren back.”
