Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power has had an estranged relationship with her mother, Melinda, 48, for quite some time now.
Melinda broke her silence and spoke to the media about her relationship with her daughter, who found fame on Channel Nine’s MAFS, a reality TV program where Australia watched Jess cheat on her on-screen hubby Mick for intruder Dan Webb in one of the biggest scandals to hit the show.

The Australian reality TV star revealed she and her mother haven’t spoken “for years” and can’t understand why she began a “slanging match”.
“I just let her do her thing, I don’t want to get into a slanging match with my mum, and she does,” MAFS Jessika Power says.
“I’m very family orientated and I’m one of five and so close with my brother Rhyce, we basically finish each other’s sentences.”
“I think family is so important so I am disappointed in my mum a little bit because we don’t have a relationship.
“However, that doesn’t mean you go out and say what you want to say in the media. That’s why I’m a little confused. She’s never had a relationship with the family anyway, so her values are probably different to ours, but that’s fine.”
The part-time model and Perth native has recently moved to Sydney following to pursue her career.
