It’s proven to be a ratings powerhouse – and so, perhaps understandably, fans have been left devastated over reports a Married at First Sight spin-off show has seemingly been cancelled.
Daily Mail reported that Channel Nine hoped to take advantage of the popularity of MAFS by launching a spin-off called Honeymoon Island.

TV Blackbox reported on Tuesday that the network had no plans to proceed with such a show.
An American version of MAFS: Honeymoon Island hit screens in 2018 – following ‘fan favourites and some new faces’ in a search for love in St Lucia.
But a Channel Nine spokesman told TV Blackbox that the rumour of an Australian version of the show was ‘completely false’.
Instead, the network will produce a second season of Love Island, hosted by Sophie Monk.
