There’s no doubt the premise behind Married At First Sight is controversial and not for everyone.
And Deborah, 53, found that out the hard way.
The former model told TheFIX that her decision to go on the show has caused people close to her to turn their on her.
‘With my family, it caused a lot of mixed emotions, because everybody had their opinions about the show,’ she said.
‘Actually, I lost [family] members and friends, and I’d never had that happen before, because people have really strong beliefs in this area.
‘Just because of their moral beliefs, maybe some religious, some who didn’t like the show. It’s a controversial show.’
Married At First Sight starts on Monday, January 30, on Channel Nine.
