He was once a teen idol himself before bringing joy to many as a judge on Australian Idol.
But Mark Holden has made his way back onto our screens on channel 9’s breakfast show TODAY, shocking fans with a brand new look.
The former TV star had a chat with Sonia Kruger and David Campbell and compared to his youthful Idol days, he is completely unrecognisable!
And just in case you can’t believe your eyes, here is another shot.
His new appearance aside, Holden appeared on the show to discuss racism in the Australian music industry.
He even claimed that Guy Sebastian didn’t achieve a higher level of fame because of his cultural background.
“Consider Idol; Guy Sebastian. Why was Guy Sebastian not signed by EMI, Universal, any of the major labels?” Holden questioned.
“Why would you not sign a dude as obviously talented as Guy Sebastian? I’ll tell you why: 99.99% of the acts this small group of A&R people and record companies sign were white and male.”
“Occasionally a wog would get through, occasionally a woman would get through, but if you were Asian — forget it,” he openly stated.
Holden has since left show business behind and now practises as a full-time barrister.
