For Mariah Carey it was a New Year’s Eve to remember for all the wrong reasons.

The 47-year-old is still furious over her disastrous performance in Times Square and blames the production team for “sabotaging” her.

Fans were outraged as the diva stopped singing midway through her performance as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest while pre-recorded vocals continued to play in the background.

The Touch My Body singer has since been accused of lip-syncing, but Carey says her ear monitors “were not working at all.”

“Listen guys,” she said in a two-minute long audio file posted to Twitter yesterday. “They foiled me… it turned into an opportunity to humiliate me.”

“I want everyone to know that I came into New Year’s Eve in New York in great spirit and was looking forward to a celebratory moment with the world.”

“It’s a shame we were put into the hands of a production team with technical issues who chose to capitalize on circumstances beyond our control,” she continued.

“It’s not practical for a singer to sing live and be able to hear themselves properly in the middle of Times Square with all the noise, the freezing cold, the smoke from the smoke machines, thousands of people celebrating, especially when their ear monitors weren’t working at all.”

The Glitter star concluded the bizarre rant by revealing she was going to “take a break” from social media and “take a moment” for herself.

Producers of the show have brushed off claims that the performance was sabotaged as “absurd.”
