Following on from their shock split statement yesterday, new reports have emerged suggesting Mariah Carey is demanding big bucks from her ex billionaire fiancé, James Packer.
According to gossip site TMZ, Mariah has privately asked James for a whopping $50 million.
The site claims Mariah is insisting on the lump sum due to the hassle of having to uproot her two children, Monroe and Moroccan from New York to LA, where James spends a lot of his time.
TMZ’s sources also claim Mariah is demanding money for the cancellation of the South American leg of her tour due to the trauma of the ‘dramatic fight’ on James’ yaucht in Greece, which is said to have ended their relationship.
However, Mariah previously blamed the cancellation on promoters, taking to twitter last week to say;
‘Devastated my shows in Chile, Argentina & Brazil had to be cancelled. My fans deserve better than how some of these promoters treated them’.
The legendary singer was also spotted out and about in Malibu on Thursday night, still sporting her dazzling $10 million engagement ring.
Announcing the split yesterday, a statement read on Sunrise from Carey’s team said:
‘Mariah Carey and James Packer had a fight in Greece. They have not seen each other since,’
‘The fight was not because of cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah. James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world.
‘They are trying to work it out but right now they are not sure if they will stay together. They are discussing it and plan to release a statement about their future.’
