Mariah Carey has broken her silence since her heartbreaking split with finance James Packer.
Addressing the breakdown of her 11-month relationship, Carey told Ellen on Wednesday that the breakup is ‘whole friggin’ thing’.
When Ellen asked how she was ‘mentally’, the 46-year-old said, ‘I think I’m doing well.’
‘No. I’m actually. Everything happens for a reason, things are the way they are,’ she added.
Addressing Packer’s appearance in the upcoming E! docu-series Mariah’s World, in which the singer can been trying on wedding dresses, Carey does her best to change the subject.
‘It’s kind of difficult to talk about at the moment,’ she says, adding, ‘so I’m just going to compliment you on these decorations once again because they are fabulous.’
