It’s a story that continues to shock the Aussie showbiz world – beloved entertainment icon Maria Venuti is in intensive care ‘fighting for her life’ after suffering a major stroke just over a week ago.
The irrepressibly exuberant, larger-than-life singer-actress had become alarmed when a disturbed stalker reappeared at her Sydney home. It’s thought the stalker terror may have triggered Maria’s stroke.
Devoted daughter Bianca Venuti, 36, has barely left Maria’s hospital bedside, where she plays her mum’s favourite songs, such as Tina Turner’s Simply The Best, showers her with kisses and gently squeezes her hand, while constantly telling her how much she’s loved.
