Jessie married Marc Murphy in December 2016 at South Melbourne venue Luminare. She wore an Oglia-Loro haute couture gown featuring a detailed bodice and skirt made up of 200m of tulle, paired with Saint-Laurent shoes. “I had been fortunate enough to work with Sam from Oglia-Loro Couture on my past three Brownlow [Medal] gowns and his creations are truly one of a kind,” the bride told Vogue of her dress. “So when it came time to my wedding, I knew Sam was the man for the job.” Her bridesmaids, including her three sisters and three friends, were dressed in black gowns by Elle Askari.
Despite the pouring rain which caused the ceremony to be moved inside, Jessie and Marc’s big day was as spectacular as to be expected, organised by Melbourne Stylists, sisters Bianca and Bridgett Roccisano. With transport provided by a vintage Rolls Royce, a romantic five tier wedding cake, a whiskey bar and many of AFL’s royalty in attendance, including Chris and Bec Judd, it was a do to be remembered. Completing Jessie’s look, a wedding band to match her engagement ring and a revealing fitted second dress for the dance part of the reception. “We wanted to create something traditional and elegant,” Bianca told SMH of the wedding, which had a white and gold theme.

What do we know about the Wayne Carey rumours?
In May 2017, a fight broke out on field between Marc’s team and their opponents, St Kilda, after the Saints players sledged the Carlton captain. Although it was speculated the comments were about the alledged rumours of a dalliance between Jessie and former North Melbourne player Wayne Carey, Wayne refuted the story on television: “I have never, ever, ever had a conversation with Marc Murphy’s wife. I don’t even know her.”
The unfounded rumours had already been circulating for months when in 2016 Wayne missed a goal in the EJ Wjitten Legends game. Fans claimed it was due to him being distracted by Jessie. ‘Wayne Carey was thinking about Marc Murphys missus too much to kick the goal I reckon!!!’ said one tweet. In the episode of 7mate’s Talking Footy show referred to earlier, Wayne said there was “no truth whatsoever” to the rumour and he had been in continual contact with Marc about the story.
Marc himself took to twitter to ask the public to stop circulating the allegation.
