The Footy Show’s Erin Molan sparked engagement rumours last month when she wore a pearl ring on the show, but she was quick to deny the rumours.
But on last night’s show, the 33-year-old announced that her boyfriend, Sean Ogilvy, had asked her to marry him.
“It happened last Sunday morning and I’m really happy,” she confirmed, admitting that she had “ugly cried” throughout the entire proposal.
The star also uploaded a photo to Instagram that showed off her engagement ring.
“Last week the love of my life pre-wifed me… I can finally let myself go. Couldn’t be happier. Luckiest girl in the world,” she captioned the pic.
After engagement rumours began circling last month when she wore the pearl ring, she told 2GB that while she’s “desperate” to get married, she wouldn’t want the pearl ring as an engagement ring.
“I know I said I’d accept a burger ring from Sean because my standards are low and I am desperate, but I would not accept a costume ring,” she said at the time. “I am definitely not engaged!”
After being asked what her response would be if the 41-year-old were to propose, she replied: “Well, if you really want to know, I’ve never had anyone ask me before. It’s got to be special.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail last year, Erin confirmed that she is “very much in love” with her policeman partner.
“I think it’s for life. He is a good boy, so we will see,” she continued. “We sit at home and literally watch the football, go to the local pubs and we go to our parents houses.”
Molan started dating Ogilvy in March 2016.
