Hearts of Married At First Sight fans around Australia collectively broke on Sunday night when the show’s cutest couple ended their relationship.
But it turns out there could be hope for Sean and Susan’s love story to continue, with the Queensland cowboy revealing the pair are still in contact in the wake of their split.
“We’ve been talking and texting… I do still miss her,” the father-of-two revealed on Monday’s ‘Aftermath’ episode.
“It was very hard to just stand there and wave goodbye and see her go.”
But Perth-based Susan also admitted that she’d been struggling to cut ties with her TV ex-husband.
“I think about Sean all the time,” she confessed.
“I think about all the good times we’ve had together and I haven’t even though of dating anyone at all.”
“I love Sean,” she added. “I always will.”
Despite distance being an ongoing issue for the former couple during their time on the show, the city-girl hinted there was a chance the pair could reunite in the future.
“I suppose when you meet an amazing guy like that, you never give up on the hope of something possibly working out,” she said.
“Maybe, I dunno, one day it could be happily ever after.”
“Wait and see,” she teased.
