He’s quickly made a name for himself as the resident bad guy on the current season of Married At First Sight Australia.
But Sam Ball was barely recognisable as he stepped out for breakfast on-the-go in Sydney without his trademark beard on February 5.
The clean shaven tradie looked deep in conversation as he chatted on the phone, dressed for the construction site in a hi-vis shirt and navy Snickerbottom work pants.
Sam, 26, cut a dramatically different figure to his appearance on the Channel 9 social experiment, which saw him rock a full beard and tailored blue suit.
The part-time model sensationally body shamed his TV bride seconds after meeting her, telling viewers: “I’ve never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth in the past.”
He went on to add things might work out if he could “get her running in the mornings”.
In explosive scenes aired on Monday night, the New South Wales labourer broke some devastating news to store manager Elizabeth.
The morning after their wedding Sam received a phonecall from his ex telling him her mother had passed away.
Sam tells Elizabeth the ex in question is very close to him and has requested he attends the funeral, which she doesn’t have a problem with.
The real issue later emerges that the date and overseas location of the memorial service will mean Sam must miss out on their honeymoon, leaving Elizabeth devastated and alone.
Recent reports allege Sam was so unimpressed with his new wife that he dumps her for their fellow cast mate Ines Basic.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, a source claims: “Sam wanted to leave the experiment as soon as he ‘married’ Elizabeth and felt he was ‘giving producers what they wanted’ by turning his attention to Ines.”
