‘They were supposed to head off to Thailand for their honeymoon and she refused to go,’ says a friend. ‘She thought he was arrogant and rude, and didn’t even want to be in the same room as him, never mind on a romantic trip away.’
Having to be kept separated by producers due to their heated altercations, the single mum gave up all hope of finding love.
However, a source says the Sydney sales executive has finally found ‘the man of her dreams’ and couldn’t be happier that things turned sour with her television husband.
‘Lauren’s glad it didn’t work, because otherwise she wouldn’t have met her new man, Jake,’ says a friend.
