Married At First Sight’s Nadia was blindsided by her “husband” Anthony after the regional race caller dumped her as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.
But while the betrayed 36-year-old expressed her heartache during the two final reunion episodes, she has since turned it into a positive learning experience.
‘This show has really taught me a lot about myself,’ Nadia told TV WEEK. ‘It’s made me re-establish myself as a person.’
The bride received public backlash for her decision to stay with Anthony, however she maintains that she has no regrets.
‘I’m proud to stand by my values,’ Nadia declared. ‘I don’t need to be swayed by what society or people expect. At the end of the day, I’m Nadia and I own myself and my body.’
Although the television social experiment didn’t turn out as the flight-attendant had hoped, she says she’s determined to ‘find compatibility’ and a ‘happy relationship’ – just not on live TV.
“I’m too old for The Bachelorette,” she laughs, when quizzed on rumours that she’s set to star in the next season of the show.
“To be honest, it’s never been a consideration. I’m really just trying to get through this and move forward.”
