She was humiliated on national television by groom Anthony, and deeply hurt MAFS bride Nadia admits the experience has changed her forever.
Ripping into the man who left her high and dry, Nadia complained that ‘The cameras stopped rolling and Anthony switched off.
‘He basically just cut it. It was quite brutal. I was incredibly hurt by the situation, and if I’m being honest.
‘You ran away… And that feels to disrespectful.’
The only pathetic response that Anthony could give was a bit of half-hearted ‘active listening’ and some vague words of comfort.
‘I hear what you’re saying,’ he said. ‘And I can see how it appears that way. I’m really sorry that’s the way you feel. I wish things were different.’
Nadia was particularly stung by the fact that she was intending to move to Sydney to be with Anthony.
‘Glad that I didn’t,’ she confessed. ‘That would have been awkward.’
Nadia claims that she’s coming away from the disaster with some good information about how to proceed with her love life in the future. But it just sounds a lot like being really hurt and emotionally scarred, and being very wary about men in the future.
‘I’ve learned a lot more about what I want, who I am, and what I definitely don’t want. And what I don’t want to stand for. And also, self respect and self preservation.’
So presumably that means she’ll never marry a stranger on TV again, or believe what reality TV love interests say as they string out the fauxmance for weeks on end, possibly just for the sake of money and really cheap fame.
