Controversial Married At First Sight star Michelle has opened up on ‘the truth’ about her relationship with show bad boy Andrew, following her controversial and humiliating dumping of Jesse.
Responding to the publication of a photo of her romping with Andrew in swimwear yesterday – after filming of the show had long been completed – Michelle is clearly not ashamed of how things have panned out with him.
‘I’ve known him for eight years and he’s a good mate of mine,’ she told Today Extra, insisting that they are not having an affair.
‘I think if something was to happen, it would have happened already.’
While fans are up in arms over perceptions she was callous to Jesse and only pursued their relationship to keep her head on TV for cheap reality show fame, she claims she’s suffering from real feelings over the split.
‘Jesse and I both really wanted to make it to the end of the experiment and then reflect, and then make our decision based on what we knew and what we felt,’ she said.
‘We’ve got a really good relationship now.
‘We’re still friends to this day and speak regularly so we did make the right decision.’
