The drama is heating up on the current season of Married At First Sight, and Kardashian lookalike Martha Kalifatidis is having her say on how things are playing out.
In an interview with hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt, the Melbourne-born makeup artist hit out at MAFS producers for what she says is strategic editing.
“The editing is so.. I don’t want to say it’s unfair, but you just don’t see everything. If only everyone could see the way it actually plays out, maybe people wouldn’t think of me as such a s*it stirring gossip.”
“After watching last night’s episode, I don’t think I’m going to watch anymore.
Asked how her co-star and friend Ines Basic is holding up against harsh online trolls, Martha confirmed she had been “under stress” but praised Ines for her resilience and sense of humour saying: “She’s doing better..she’s essentially laughed it off.”
Speaking about the Bosnian-born beauty’s decision to avoid chatting with media, Martha admitted Ines is reluctant to trust anyone at the moment
“I almost wanted to turn down interviews as well – like, I just thought what am I going to say, why would I waste my breath? People have made up their minds,” she added.
The show’s hosts encouraged Martha to get Ines on air to tell her side of the story, prompting the 30-year-old to send her reality BFF a text inviting her to join the programme.
But the Brisbane legal assistant replied with a short but definite response, simply writing: “I can’t.”
Ines’ decline comes after shocking pictures emerged of the 28-year-old looking dramatically thinner than she did while filming MAFS.
The outspoken star has reportedly lost more than 12 kgs since the show wrapped, prompting fears for her health and wellbeing.
