Married At First Sight star Cheryl has lashed back at sleazy allegations that she brought a man back to her room to share a bed with her TV love interest Andrew.
Following the publication of the tawdry tale today, which was attributed to a friend of Andrew’s, Cheryl wants to set the record straight, describing the insinuations surrounding the story as ‘ridiculous’.
‘It’s all blown up — to clear the air, I brought back my gay best friend who Andrew knows,’ Cheryl told news.com.au. ‘He had no problem with him. Andrew moved over to one side of the bed. I was in the middle and my friend was beside me. It’s all a stab at me to say I’m not who I am portrayed on TV. It’s just stupid little things.
‘My friend was sleeping downstairs for all of the night and he came up at nine, 10 o’clock. He (Andrew) didn’t have a problem at that time. I find it funny how he does now. I would never just bring a guy into my bed — that’s just ridiculous.’
According to a source close to Andrew, the reality star has been completely ‘blindsided’ by the backlash against him and now has concerns for his safety.
‘He doesn’t want to leave the house in case people recognise him and is actually really stressed out,’ they said.
