One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson’s mother has tragically passed away after suffering a secret battle with Leukemia.
At only 43, Johannah Deakin is said to have passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning after battling a very aggressive form of the disease.
A statement said:
‘It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016.’
‘Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private’.
As well as 24-year-old Louis, Johannah leaves behind six other children, Lottie, 18, Felicite, 16, twins Daisy and Phoebe, 12 and two-year-old twins Ernest and Doris, who she gave birth to prematurely in 2014.
She was also grandmother to Louis’ 10-month-old son, Freddie.
Louis’ last Instagram upload was on November 19, just under a month before his mother’s tragic passing.
‘My mother looking gorgeous before the Brits earlier this year. I love you and miss you so much,’ Louis captioned the picture of him and his mum cyddling up for the camera.
It is believed Louis will go ahead with a planned performance of his debut single – Just Hold On – at the final of the British version of the X Factor later on today.
