During a meal with the housewives, Lisa broke her silence by tearfully revealing the importance of the day to her co-stars, blurting, I’m sad that everything’s f**ked up with her marriage to husband ex-politician David.

Victoria impatiently responded with some advice as an upset Lisa fled for a bit of privacy.

Why aren’t you with your husband? she asked. Why are you on a boat with seven girls, crying about not being with your husband?

Crying in the ladies room, Lisa explained her inner torment.

Fifteen years ago our relationship was perfect. How did it get to this? she asked.

It’s almost like we can’t stand the sight of each other, and I’m so sad. I’m so desperately sad. I haven’t felt joy in such a long time.

The show did not in any way address or acknowledge Lisa’s recent revelation that she was sexually assaulted by a cab driver a year ago – a crime that has apparently had very serious enduring effects on her emotional wellbeing and her marriage.

Speaking to the Wentworth Courier newspaper, the usually confident and vivacious Lisa says the attack has badly affected her and threatening to wreck her life.

‘He has destroyed the woman I was, she exclusively told the paper. I have become a victim, not the strong brave fearless Lisa I was before the attack.

Lisa had hailed a taxi after exiting a work function at 5pm, and fell asleep in the back seat during the approximately one hour drive home. When she awoke she was being assaulted by the driver, who was on top of her.

‘He was groping my breasts, he had pulled the whole top of my dress down so my breasts were exposed

‘He was ripping at me and it was so violent he tore my rotator cuff. I was covered in scratch and bite marks and bruises.

After freeing herself, Lisa managed to talk the man into driving her home, where her husband called the police. The driver was eventually identified, but Lisa decided not to proceed, fearing the legal process would only add to her trauma.

Still dealing with the emotional after-affects, she ‘vomits constantly’ and says it has badly affected her marriage – with the couple no longer sleeping together, and openly discussing the possibility of divorce.
