Lisa Curry has revealed she can’t wed her Elvis impersonator fiancé Mark Tabone until she divorces her former Olympian ex, Grant Kenny.
On Monday night’s Episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The swimming champion said that despite splitting back in 2008 the pair are yet to make it official.
The former sporting dream team share three children together.
“I’ve got to find a dress; I’ve got to get a date; I’ve got to get a f***ing divorce,” Curry told Bassingthwaighte with tears streaming down her face.
The confession came amid Curry reaching breaking point on the show, with the pressure of more than four weeks in the South African jungle starting to take its toll on the contestants.
“I’m ready to pack my bags,” she declared.
“I was ready this morning. I was ready last week. I was ready in week two. I’m just not enjoying it. I’ve just had enough. The days are so frigging long. I have nothing to say to anyone, they’re just not in the same circle.”
Later, the 54-year-old admitted to the camera that she was feeling “worn down” by the experience.
“The whole thing has been really hard for me. I just feel like I’m worn down and I miss my group, my friends, my own tribe and conversation, which I don’t have here and it is really hard.”
Tabone and Curry confirmed their engagement to New Idea in October 2016, with 50-year-old Tabone revealing that he popped the question during a holiday in Malta.
“I planned exactly how I was going to do it and booked a yacht, a swim in the Blue Lagoon and a sail along the cliffs,” he said.
