Despite fans going wild over the Spice Girls reunion – containing three of the original five Spices; Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton – the trio’s debut single has hit a bum note with critics.
When Song For Her was leaked earlier this week, online commentators were quick to criticize, saying it sounded child-like and comparing it to a Eurovision entry.
With the new band name taken from the initials of each of the three members, GEM have insisted: ‘This is not a single, it’s just that we’re creating, having fun in the studio. It’s just a demo and somehow it has got out there’.
