Lady Susan Renouf has passed away on her 74th birthday, after enduring a battle with ovarian cancer.
Once a mainstay of Australian social columns, the much-married celebrity was suffering from acute kidney failure at the time of her passing, and had been in palliative care.
‘Happy Birthday Mummy, we love you sooooo much, rest now in peace,’ wrote her devoted daughter, Ann Peacock, on Instagram.
Lady Susan married Liberal politician Andrew Peacock from 1963, with the couple divorcing in 1977. She then wed wealthy British racing identity Robert Sangster in 1978, before marrying businessman Sir Frank Renouf in 1985.
The latter marriage famously ended badly, in a barrage of unprecedented publicity, before Lady Susan began to take a lower profile.
She was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, with insiders saying she put up a brave fight until the end. RIP, Lady Susan.
