Kylie Minogue was reportedly surrounded by more than 20 armed police officers carrying submachine guns, at her concert in Cologne, Belgium, on Tuesday.
The presence of heavily armed police was to protect both the pop-singer and the crowd from a supposed security threat.
According to DW.com, a man had made a number of threats against the 50-year-old star that were taken so seriously by Minogue’s team, that his picture was reportedly plastered all around the venue.

Belgian police were also contacted about the threat.
According to reports, every male was frisked by police and had their identity checked, before being allowed inside the venue.
DW.com reports that the Belgian police took the threats seriously, with a police spokesperson telling the publication, “The organisers contacted us due to a possible threat scenario based on evaluating social media platforms.,”
“When it comes to things like that, we cannot simply stand by.”
Fortunately, the show went on without a hitch and Kylie and fans in Cologne were safe to enjoy the singer’s spectacle.
Minogue will be bringing her Golden tour to Australia in March, 2019.
