While trying to contact his late father through a psychic medium, Kyle Sandilands has opened up about their relationship.
Hollywood Medium star Tyler Henry told Sandilands on Wednesday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show that he could sense a “feeling of apology” from the 45-year-old’s late father, Peter, who died from liver and bowel cancer last year.
“ [There was an] acknowledgement of a falling out at the very end of life, and going through a period of not speaking,” Henry said. “There was an acknowledgement of being stubborn and a feeling of apology for the stubbornness.”
“Well that makes sense because I was estranged from him when I was thrown into the gutter as a child and raised by wolves,” Sandilands responded.
Although Henry admitted he could not get a strong connection to Peter, he did say: “connected on your dad’s side of the family, there’s a very big reference to sobriety and acknowledgment of alcohol and drinking”.
Jackie O joined in, saying: “I know there was some abusiveness there.
“Yeah, just him getting drunk and carrying on, screaming,” Sandilands announced.
The radio host confessed that he had been thinking about his father a lot lately, coming up to the one year anniversary of his death.
“This week he’s been popping into my mind a lot,” he said. “I opened up a drawer at home and there was a photo of him with me and my two brothers and my father in a hospital bed and there was nothing else in the drawer.”
