The past always comes back to haunt you!
Kyle Sandilands got the fright of his life this morning when a listener phoned into the Kyle and Jackie O Show to reveal he had a secret five-year-old love child called Sophie.
Although the shock call of course turned out to be a prank, it certainly had Kyle convinced.
The call began with ‘Caroline from Paddington’ dialling in to take a pop quiz, only to reveal she’d lied to producers in order to get on air.
‘I need to talk to you Kyle, I didn’t want to do this in a public forum,’ she explained. ‘A couple of years ago you and I had a really good night out, I’ve tried and tried to get in touch with you.’
‘Caroline’ then went on to describe a wild night out the pair had enjoyed in Sydney’s King Cross back in 2011, before dropping the bombshell that Kyle had got her pregnant.
‘We had an amazing night, it was fantastic,’ she said. ‘You are a very, very good lover Kyle I would have to tell you,’ said before going on to reveal their night of passion had produced their daughter Sophie – who was now desperate to know her dad.
‘She’s five-and-a-half, just started kindergarten. You can even be an ‘uncle’ if you want,’ she pleaded.
‘Is this a bulls**t story? I don’t mean to offend you I just have to ask,’ Kyle eventually managed to say, to which the caller insisted it was all true.
The prank was only brought to an end when Kyle began complaining of heart attack symptoms.
‘I think maybe we should chat off air and join the dots,’ Kyle said. ‘I’ve gone completely numb from my chest down, I feel that I could die at any second.’
Caroline explained that she was a longtime listener who had emailed producers with the idea to get Kyle back for pranking others – ‘They couldn’t even believe that they had thought of this!’
‘I was going to get the call dumped!’ Kyle revealed after regaining his composure.
‘I’m going upstairs to have a cigarette … I was racking my mind saying which one of the thousands of women could it be.’
